The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine decided on Nov. 21
to endorse an anti-raider bill that will deprive communal enterprises the
ability to engage in registration activity, the Interfax-Ukraine news agency
that day. These enterprises practically fulfilled the function of registers,
which have long drawn complaints, said Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko. “90% of
complaints reviewed by the (anti-raider) commission and judges regarding
depriving property rights involve employees of these enterprises,” Petrenko
said. The bill also proposes cancelling the payment of no less than 1% the sum
of a contract for private notaries. Instead the payment will be freely
determined by the sides of the contract.
Zenon Zawada: This
legislation helps to make Ukraine more business-friendly and transparent. So
it’s more positive news on doing business in Ukraine.
