Ukraine gets order for 6 An-32s for USD 80 mln

11 September 2009

An Antonov design bureau official said yesterday that the Ukrainian government’s special machinery export arm signed a contract to deliver 6 An-32s for about USD 80 mln, RBK-Ukraine reported. The agreement was made at the end of August and provides for the delivery of the aircraft within eight months. The customer was not disclosed, other than that it was located in the “near east.” Yegor Samusenko: This contract adds more orders for Motor Sich (MSICH), producer of the An-32’s TVD AI-20DM engines. We estimate Motor Sich’s order book would increase by about USD 12 mln to USD 462 mln as a result of this deal.
