Ukraine lowers grain forecast by 5% to 38 mln mt

Ukraine’s Agricultural Ministry lowered its grain forecast by another 5% to 38 mln mt vs. 40-41 mln mt announced earlier, Sergey Melnik, first deputy agricultural minister, said yesterday in an interview with Interfax. The new estimate implies a decline of 17% y-o-y in harvested grain volumes. Since July, the country has exported 3 mln mt of grains, mostly wheat and barley,  Melnik said.
