Ukraine Might Integrate Electricity Grid with EU by the End of 2007

20 October 2008

After a meeting with EU officials, Fuel and Energy Minister Yury Boyko said Ukraine will be ready to integrate its electricity network with the EU by the end of 2007. This announcement might be indirectly aimed at pressuring Russia into further cooperation with Ukraine in the gas and electricity sectors.
