Ukraine receiving military hardware during martial law, Poltorak says

Since initiating martial law in late November, the
Ukrainian government has received more than 100 units of military hardware,
said on Dec. 12 Ukrainian Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak on Ukrainian
television. During the next two weeks of martial law, that number can increase
to more than 200 units. Poltorak did not specify what type of military hardware
was supplied, nor its source.

Zenon Zawada: In his column on martial law published on the epravda.com.ua news site on Nov.
28, Concorde Capital CEO Igor Mazepa mentioned that its implementation should
at least bring tangible benefits to Ukraine, such as halting Russian pipelines
bypassing Ukraine and deliveries of military hardware. So the Ukrainian government
has at least gained something concrete from the martial law. We believe this
hardware likely came from the U.S., or possibly Canada. But as Mazepa also
mentioned, the overall costs of martial law to the Ukrainian economy will
likely outweigh any benefits.
