Yesterday Ukraine issued USD 700 mln in Eurobonds with a coupon of 6.75%. The bonds mature on Nov. 14, 2017. The lead managers of the issue were Citigroup, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank and UBS. According to Ukrainian News, citing unofficial sources, more than 150 investors participated in the placement, the book was more than three times oversubscribed. The bonds will be listed on the Irish Stock Exchange. Despite being oversubscribed the placement was not as successful for the government as last year’s issue when the spread was 40 bps narrower and the yield was only 6.58%.
