Ukraine to put 99 coal mines up for sale

The Cabinet of Ministers, in a April 2 decision, put forward 99 state-owned coal mines for sale at open tenders in 2009, Interfax reported on Friday. According to the order, proceeds from the privatizations will be funneled back to the Ministry of Coal Industry for use in the development of the domestic coal industry.
