The State Property Fund of Ukraine (SPFU) is going to sell on the Ukrainian stock exchanges 5% stakes in power distribution companies Kharkivoblenergo (HAON UK), Khmelnytskoblenergo (HMON UK), Mykolayivoblenergo and Cherkasyoblenergo (CHON UK), the Fund chair Oleksandr Ryabchenko stated on Apr. 3. The remaining 60-65% of the state’s stakes in these companies will be sold on tender, he said.
Ukraine is also preparing to privatize its 60% stake in Zaporizhiaoblenergo (ZAON UK) and 51% stake in Ternopiloblenergo (TOEN UK).
A tender for a 61% stake in power GenCo Donbasenergo (DOEN UK) will be announced this summer, the SPFU chair said. An earlier planned privatization tender for a 53% stake in Centerenergo (CEEN UK) is postponed until Ukraine decides on the future of the damaged Uglegorsk TPP, according to Ukraine’s Energy Minister Eduard Stavytskiy.
