Ukraine's coal extraction increases 2.8% in 2008

Ukraine’s coal extraction amounted to 77.7 mln mt in 2008 (+2.8% yoy), according to the Ministry of Industrial Policy. The total volume of energy coal came to 51.0 mln mt (+8.4% yoy) and coking coal to 26.6 mln mt (down 6.5% yoy).
