Ukraine's USD 1 bln Eurobond Issue Pushes 2006 Currency Reserves To New High

According to the National Bank, Ukraine’s gold foreign currency reserves grew by 14.9% yoy in 2006 to a new historical high of USD 22.3 bln, up from USD 19.4 in 2005. The main reason for this year’s growth was the government’s USD 1 bln Eurobond placement.
