Ukrainian banks post UAH 10.2 net loss in 1H09

The National Bank of Ukraine reported yesterday on its website that, in aggregate, Ukrainian banks net revenue in 1H09 amounted to UAH 72.0 bln, and expenditures to UAH 82.2 bln (vs. UAH 48.6 bln and UAH 43.3 bln in 1H08, respectively). The banking system’s total liabilities as of July 1 were UAH 751.8 bln (up UAH 5.8 bln mom) and assets totaled UAH 944.6 bln (up 11.4 bln mom).
