Ukrainian banks post UAH 9.2 bln net loss in 4M09

The NationalBank of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian banks posted a cumulative net loss of UAH 9.2 bln in 4M09, down from net loss of UAH 7.0 bln in 1Q09. The NBU notes that the banks’ profits were sent into red mostly due to huge reserve expenses (UAH 22.8 bln in 4M09).
