Ukrlandfarming puts sugar output on hold in 2013

Ukrlandfarming (UKRLAN), one of Ukraine’s leading agri holdings and 2nd largest sugar producer, will not produce sugar in the 2013 season, a company representative said on June 29. The company said it will use this year to modernize its sugar plants to be prepared better for the next season, when sugar prices should recover. Ukrlandfarming’s share in Ukraine’s sugar production was 10% in 2012, according to the company.
