Ukrzaliznytsya, Kryukivka Wagon Sign Carriage Deal

Kryukivka Wagon Works (KVBZ) announced yesterday that it had signed a deal to lease 1000 freight cars to the state railway monopoly Ukrzaliznytsya. KVBZ will deliver the first half of the order by the end of the year and the remaining 500 in 1Q07. Olha Pankiv: The announcement is great news for KVBZ. In September, the new CEO of Ukrzaliznytsya, announced plans shift to leasing rather than purchasing carriages, which put a deal between the two companies for the sale of 800 freight cars on ice, however, it looks as though both sides were able to reach a compromise agreement on the leasing of railcars.
