Ukrzaliznytsya to get USD 600 mln from World Bank, EBRD

Ukrzaliznytsya plans to receive USD 600 mln from the World Bank and European Bank for Reconstruction & Development over 2009-2010, ahead of hosting the Euro-2012 Football Championship, said Mikhail Makarenko, director of the department of railways at the Ministry of Transportation and Communications, last week. The financing will be used to separate freight and passenger trains on select routes, which will result in increased speed for passenger trains.
