Universalna Insurance Sees Insurance Payments Jump 48% yoy In 1Q07

Ukraine’s only listed insurer Universalna Insurance (SKUN) recorded insurance payments of USD 9.8 mln in 1Q07, a 48% increase yoy. In 2006 the company’s premiums grew by 14% yoy against a market average of 7.6% – almost double the market’s growth rate last year. Universalna Insurance recently placed a 19% stake for USD 15.8 mln.
