Yushchenko Promises To De-regulate Business

26 May 2008

President Viktor Yuschenko said the government will submit a draft law on business deregulation to the Parliament shortly. The draft law will abolish over 1,000 regulations and calls for cutting the amount of time it takes to register a business by three times. He also promised to cut the USD 1,000 registration fee for a new business in half. He also said customs would introduce a ?single window” system starting June 1, so importers will no longer have to go from one customs officer to another, in order to import their goods into the country.
