Ina statement released yesterday President Yushchenko said he shares the concerns of the international community concerning the business practices of RosUkrenergo, and for this reason he was ordering the government to make all information concerning the company that is available to Ukraine, public. Additionally the President added that it was the Russian side which pushed to bring the company into the negotiation process. RosUkrenergo is owned by a subsidiary of Gazprom (Russia) and Raiffeisen Investment AG (Austria). Concorde Capital: This could be the beginning of the end for the shady gas deal signed by Russian and Ukraine in early January. Both Prime Minister Yurii Yekhanurov and the President have said they are prepared to scrape the deal with RosUkrenergo if the company does not operate in a transparent way.
