Zaliv Shipyard increases production 55% yoy in 2008

Zaliv Shipyard (SLZV) reported yesterday that it boosted output 54.6% yoy in 2008 to UAH 260.5 mln in monetary terms (USD 33.8 mln). The plant said that its order book is full until September 2010, and is currently working under 11 contracts. Zaliv announced that it signed a contract in January with Norwegian company Ulstein to deliver two hulls (total weight: 2 ths mt, length: 88.8 m, width: 19 m and height: 8 m). Zaliv said it plans to begin work in June 2009 and deliver the hulls in May 2010.
