ZAZ Automobile Production Up 51% yoy In 2M07

The Zaporizhzhya Automobile Plant (ZAZ) produced 36,761 cars in 2M, an increase of 51.2% yoy. UkrAvto (AVTO), Ukraine’s largest automotive holding owns 80% of AvtoZAZ, which in turn controls 50% of ZAZ. In 2006, Ukravto increased its assets by 2.3 times and announced plans to hold an IPO on a foreign exchange in 2007.
