Ukrainian President Zelensky will meet with U.S.
President Trump for an hour at the United Nations General Assembly, Ukrainian Foreign
Minister Vadym Prystaiko told the hromadske.ua news site in an interview
published on Sept. 23. The main task is to define what is expected in bilateral
relations between the two countries and “Ukraine’s survival in the war,” he
said.
“I can’t reveal for you all the tasks, but believe us
there is an entire list of problems that we will review with the U.S.,” he
said. “Some are problems, some are simply business ideas. For example, we need
energy security. That’s one of the key tasks of our national security. That’s
one of the issues that the presidents will certainly discuss.”
Zelensky is
at the UN General Assembly in New York for a working visit between Sept. 23 and
26. He will meet with Trump on Sept. 25, the dt.ua news site reported on Sept.
19, citing anonymous diplomatic sources.
