Agriculture Ministry sets prices for loan collateral to agro companies

The Ukrainian Ministry of Agriculture yesterday announced price levels that it would use for determining collateral on loans to agricultural producers. Ukraine’s agricultural fund is authorized to provide loans in a volume of up to 80% of the collateral value at regulated prices, until April 31, 2009. The prices were set at UAH 750.9/mt for third-class wheat, UAH 680.8/mt for fourth-class wheat, UAH 580.7/mt for fifth-class wheat; UAH 667.7/mt for first-class barley, UAH 610.1/mt of second-class barley and UAH 529.5/mt for third-class barley.
