Astarta’s 9M11 revenues grow by 24% y-o-y to EUR 187 mln

Astarta (AST PW), the largest sugar producer in Ukraine, reported its 9M11 financials this morning: revenue grew by 24% y-o-y to EUR 187 mln, EBITDA increased by 12% y-o-y to EUR 109 mln, and net income rose by 18% y-o-y to EUR 93 mln. The farming segment of the company increased from 16% in 9M10 to 22% of total revenues; milk production segment rose from 9% to 10% and sugar segment decreased from 75% to 68%. Astarta confirmed previous guidance for sugar production of 350 ths mt this season. Over 9M11, it made 155 ths mt of white sugar, slightly less than the same period last year.
