Turboatom to supply turbine equipment to Finland’s Fortum

11 November 2011

Turboatom (TATM UK) plans to supply components for a low-pressure cylinder and steam distribution elements for the Loviisa Nuclear Power Plant in Finland, operated by Fortum (FUM1V FH), the Ukrainian manufacturer announced yesterday. The power plant is equipped with four Turboatom-made steam turbines of 250MW capacity each. Roman Dmytrenko: We estimate the value of this contract at USD 4-6 mln or 3.5-5.0% of the company’s annual revenue. Considering Fortum’s plan to hold a tender for the second stage of modernatization at Loviisa NPP in 2012, we expect more demand for Turboatom’s equipment from them next year.
