Austrians Storming The Ukrainian Insurance Market.

Austrian InsurerWiener Stadtische AG has completed a deal for the acquisition of 51% of Ukraine’s 90th largest insurance provider Globus. In addition to Globus, Wiener Stadtische also controls two other Ukrainian insurers, Knyazha and Jupiter. Concorde Capital: Ukraine’s insurance sector has perked the interest of several European insurance companies which are now actively seeking to get in on the ground floor of the rapidly growing Ukrainian insurance market.  Yesterday, Austria’s UNIQA bought Ukraine’s sixth largest insurer Credo-Classic. Look for more acquisitions this year as the Ukrainian insurance segment continues to consolidate.
