Black Iron tests confirm high grade 65% Fe pellets from Shymanivske project

12 October 2011

Canada’s Black Iron (TSE: BKI CA), which controls iron ore assets in Kryviy Rih (Ukraine), has completed tests confirming the commercial quality of iron ore pellets from its Shymanivske project, the company reported yesterday in a press release. Independent pelletizing trials conducted by Mekhanobrchermet Laboratories in Kryiviy Rih confirmed Black Iron’s ability to produce high grade 65% Fe pellets with 5% silica and 0.001% sulphur. If the company decides to commercialize the pellets, it might conduct pilot scale pellet production using the Shymanivske ore to confirm the commercial viability of a large scale project.
