Israeli Bank Eyeing Ukraine.

According to media reports, Israel’s Hapoalim Bank has plans to purchase a Ukrainian or Russian bank after deciding not to buy a Spanish bank. According to the news Hapoalim plans to spend roughly USD 300 mln. This is not the first time Hapalim has announced plans to buy a bank in the former USSR, a few months ago, the bank offered USD 350 mln for a Russian bank, but latter backed out of the deal citing the country’s current political situation as one of the main reasons.
