Privatbank's Local Currency Deposits Rated Aaa.ua

4 May 2008

On April 30, 2007 Moody’s Investors Service assigned an Aaa.ua National Scale Rating (NSR) to Privatbank’s local currency deposits. The NSR carries no specific outlook. The Aaa.ua national scale rating reflects the standing of the bank’s credit quality relative to its domestic peers. In Moodys’ view, the rating is based on the bank’s systemic importance for the Ukrainian economy as the largest bank in terms of total assets, loans and deposits. The rating is also supported by the bank’s strong franchise, recognized name in Ukraine, nationwide branch network and focus on promising and more profitable but competitive sectors, such as SME and retail, stated Moody’s. The bank’s other ratings remain unchanged
