Kyiv City Council OKs electricity grid development plan until 2020

1 September 2008

The Kyiv City Council approved a development plan for the city’s high-voltage electricity grids (over 35 kV) until 2020. Kyivenergo (KIEN: HOLD) authored the plan and will finance it at its own cost. The plan is the guide for placing and allotting land for electricity objects and networks. Alexander Paraschiy: The new plan will allow Kyivenergo receive land plots necessary for the construction of transformer substations, without having to go through the tender process, where it would have to compete with construction and development companies.
