Ukraine’s parliament, the Verkhovna Rada, passed the 2012 state budget draft in the first reading yesterday, according to the Rada’s website. After a two week period under which the bill will be finalized, it will be returned to the Rada for a final vote. Budget targets and economic assumptions will be one of the areas the IMF mission will be studying when they visit next week as part of the review of Ukraine’s USD 15.6 bln standby arrangement.
