Sadovaya Group commissions new longwall at Rassvet-1 mine

Sadovaya Group (SGR PW) commissioned a new longwall at its l6 seam of a mine Rassvet-1, the company reported on Tuesday. The longwall was put into testing mode on December 12, and is scheduled to reach full commercial capacity of 18,000 t/month in February 2012. The longwall is expected to develop 585,000 t of coal reserves. Alexander Paraschiy: The new longwall operating at full capacity (expected in March) will double the output of the Rassvet-1 mine and increase the group’s mining by 40%. This is the first of the two longwalls scheduled to be commissioned at the Rassvet-1 mine in the near future.
