The Orange Parties Agree - Vote To Close Rada Until June 7.

26 May 2008

After opening the new Rada session, the Yulia Tymoshenko Block, Our Ukraine and the Socialists voted for a recess until June 7, in order to focus on coalition negotiations. Concorde Capital: The unified vote by the three orange parties suggests that a coalition agreement is on the horizon, though from the conflicting comments made by the parties following the session it is clear they are still quite far from agreeing on the specifics.  The Party of Regions also announced that it was nearing a deal with Our Ukraine, however a bill put forward by several of the party’s deputies on the rights of the opposition in the Rada suggests otherwise.
