Ukraine's State Debt Down 3.3% in September

Total state debt fell by 3.3% in September to USD 14.5 bln as of Oct. 1, 2006. Since the beginning of the year, Ukraine’s total debt fell 6.2%. In September, foreign debt shrank 0.4% to USD 8.2 bln, while the renewal of domestic borrowing brought local debt up 0.5% to USD 3.5 bln. Alexander Viktorov: We forecast that Ukraine will end the year with total state debt at USD 14.2 bln (about 14% of GDP).
