Ukrtelecom 3G Network To Cover All Regional Centers in 2008

Ukrtelecom (UTEL: HOLD) announced yesterday it started the second stage of construction of its 3G mobile network to all the large cities in the country (about 30 cities, covering about 35% of the Ukrainian population). Alexander Paraschiy: Currently Ukrtelecom’s mobile customers can use 3G services in the six largest cities (covering 18% of Ukraine’s population), and use voice and SMS services throughout nearly the whole of Ukraine. We are looking forward to seeing the first data on the customer base of newly launched Ukrtelecom’s mobile operator Utel.
