Yushchenko unblocks Odesa Portside privatization

20 November 2008

Earlier this week, President Viktor Yushchenko annulled his previous decree that blocked the privatization of 99.52% in Odesa Portside. In April, when preparations for the plant’s privatization were being made, State Property Fund officials said they expected to get UAH 5 bln (about USD 835 mln) from the sale. The SPF had said it had received applications from 15 companies interested in bidding for Odesa Portside.
